My name is Tuzo Mwarumba and I was born in Stillwater Oklahoma, on March 5th, 1998 to Mwarumba Mwavita and Njoki Mwarumba. I am the oldest of two, with my younger brother two and a half years younger than me. My family and I are from Kenya. I went to Child Development Lab (CDL) for my preschool and then went to Sunnybrook Christian School from kindergarten to fifth grade. I went to Stillwater Middle School, Stillwater Junior High School and then Stillwater High School from 6th grade to 10th grade. In 11th grade I went to Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics in Oklahoma City, graduating the following year.
I went to Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and graduated with a degree in Neuroscience. I really cherished the time I had outside of class to experience people and life with people unlike me. Class was rewarding too with what I was able to learn both within and beyond my major. Some of my interests outside of school include listening to music, playing team sports, reading books, and watching shows. I am also trying to learn how to skate. I hope that I am able to spend my time in Baltimore fruitfully contributing to the environment in which I exist.
