Today is the Feast Day of St. Sulpice. St. Sulpice Church in Paris is a landmark in the sisters’ history because it is where the original 12 sisters who formed the Sisters of Bon Secours in 1824 took their vows. St. Sulpice was the son of wealthy parents, who devoted himself from a young age to good works, especially the care of the poor. In the church in Paris, there is a plaque on the chapel wall commemorating the sisters’ founding.
