Armel Mignondje

Hello, my name is Kossivi Mignondje, but I go by my middle name Armel. I am from Omaha, Nebraska, and I attended the University of Notre Dame where I majored in Biology and minored in Theology. In college, I was part of the marching band and got to travel all across the United States, including Dallas, Orlando, and New York. It was cool! In my free time, I enjoy reading most genres, watching Marvel and funny shows or videos, and exercising.

I was drawn to BSVM for multiple reasons. One reason that drew me was the spiritual pillar of the program. Coming out of undergrad, I wanted to slow down my life and grow spiritually as I took my next steps. I wanted to grow in my relationship with God, becoming more attuned to the Spirit’s voice. The opportunity for this combined with the chance to learn more about medicine in underserved communities drew me. I wanted to learn more about the struggles and challenges facing people here and walk with them. This year, I hope to grow and learn from all the people that I meet while also being a healing presence for them.
